Your Questions, Answered

  • We are an integrative psychiatry practice focused on identifying and treating the root causes of mental and physical symptoms. Rather than matching symptoms to medications alone, we take a whole-person approach that considers biology, lifestyle, nervous system patterns, and personal history. Our services include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, functional lab interpretation, and personalized treatment plans that may incorporate targeted nutrients, nootropics, and lifestyle interventions to support brain and body health. We also provide guidance for patients who wish to safely and thoughtfully reduce psychiatric medications when appropriate. In addition, we offer short-term, depth-oriented therapy designed to uncover underlying patterns and core drivers of distress. These therapy containers are structured and time-limited, typically lasting three to six months. Most care is delivered through structured programs and memberships.

  • We do not accept insurance. This allows us to provide care without the constraints of insurance companies, including more time with you, more personalized treatment, and access to services that are often not covered, such as functional lab testing and integrative therapies.

  • Because our services are self-pay, the upfront cost can feel higher than conventional care. However, our approach is designed to reduce long-term costs by identifying and addressing root causes rather than relying on ongoing symptom management. We also work with you to prioritize testing and treatment, focusing on the highest-yield interventions first.

  • Yes. This practice is best suited for individuals who are willing to actively participate in their care. If you are looking for a quick fix without personal investment, this may not be the right fit. Meaningful healing often requires consistency, curiosity, and follow-through.

  • All care is individualized. For in-person visits, we commonly use Clinical Pathology Labs (CPL), which may be billed through insurance depending on your plan. For virtual patients, lab orders can be sent to the lab of your choice. We also utilize advanced functional testing such as micronutrient analysis, food sensitivity panels, hormone testing, and organic acid testing when appropriate.

  • We understand that investing in your health is a meaningful decision. If cost is a concern, we encourage open communication so we can prioritize high-impact labs and treatments first. Visits are time-based, so arriving prepared with focused questions can help you use your time efficiently. Our goal is to guide you toward sustainable, effective progress without unnecessary overwhelm.

  • The 10-Day Reset is a short-term, guided program designed to eliminate foods and ingredients that can cause inflammation, disrupt metabolism, and contribute to cravings or weight gain. It focuses on clean, whole foods while helping the body to detoxify naturally.

    • Sugar (including artificial sweeteners)

    • Gluten (wheat, rye, barley)

    • Dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt)

    • Processed foods

    • Caffeine (if possible)

    • Alcohol

    • Soy products (processed soy or soy-based foods)

  • You will eat whole, nutrient-dense foods, including: Lean proteins (chicken, turkey, wild-caught fish, grass-fed beef), vegetables (leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, root vegetables), healthy fats (avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, coconut oil), non-dairy alternatives (almond milk, coconut milk), fruits (limited to low-glycemic options like berries), bone broth and herbal teas.

  • During the reset, your body may go through a period of adjustment. You might experience: Initial fatigue (due to cutting out sugar and caffeine), headaches (especially if you're eliminating caffeine or sugar), cravings (particularly for processed foods and sweets), increased energy and mental clarity after a few days, better digestion and less bloating as your body cleanses as well as improved anxiety, depression or moods.

  • Many people experience weight loss due to the elimination of inflammatory foods and the focus on whole, clean eating. However, the goal of the reset is not necessarily weight loss but to help your body reset and improve your overall health. Any weight lost is often a byproduct of better digestion and reduced inflammation.

  • The 10-Day reset is generally safe for most people; however, if you have any specific medical conditions, are pregnant, or breastfeeding, it’s a good idea to consult with your doctor before starting. The detox may not be suitable for individuals with certain health issues like eating disorders or those who are underweight.
